On West Plant Street in downtown Winter Garden, the Hangry Bison built its name on a build-your-own board: choose the patty — bison, beef, turkey, salmon, Impossible, portobello — then the bun, the toppings, the sauce. The bison patty is why most people walk in, thick and cooked to temperature. Start with fried green tomatoes or pretzel bites and beer cheese; get the sweet potato fries with bourbon butter.
