Haachim has held its corner of Ibn Gvirol since 2011, a modern skewer house from brothers Assaf and Yotam Doctor built on Israeli farmers' produce. The grill and the oven do everything: house hummus with grameula, artichoke in labneh, spinach sfiha on charred pita with caramelised onion and Meiri cheese, fattoush with sheep's feta and Syrian olives, whole denis stuffed with herbs, fish msakhan, merguez from Eran Beck, shishkebab. The bar mixes arak and grapefruit with the same confidence. Loud, generous, unmistakably Tel Aviv, and still one of the easiest good meals in the city.
