Family-owned in New Tampa since 1995, Ho King has outlasted most of the plaza around it by doing the classics properly. The menu runs long — soups, noodles, seafood, poultry, beef, pork, vegetarian — but regulars converge on General Tso's chicken, house special fried rice with shrimp, chicken and pork, and pan-fried dumplings. Chef's specials like Happy Family and Seafood Delight carry the bigger appetites; family dinners feed two to four without drama, and the midday specials are why the phone starts ringing at eleven. Closed Tuesdays. Steady, generous, unchanged for a reason.
