HUNGRY HOWIE'S – Restaurant
Choose the crust first. That is the Hungry Howie's ritual, and it has been since flavored crusts arrived in 1985. Eight are offered now — butter, butter cheese, asiago, ranch, cajun, sesame, garlic herb and Italian herb — seasoned along the rim so the last bite is not an afterthought. The pizzas are unshowy and well built, the Howie Special and Meat Eaters leading the specialties. Calzone-style oven-baked subs, Howie Bread, Howie Wings and fresh salads round out a menu made for delivery and pickup. Diners return for the value and the speed as much as the food. Good pizza, no ceremony.
