Hungry Howie's has a solid footprint around Tampa, and every store leads with the same trick: choose a flavor for your crust and pay nothing extra for it. Butter, butter cheese, Asiago, Cajun, garlic herb, onion, ranch and sesame have been on offer since 1985. Pizzas come on original round, deep dish, thin and gluten-free bases, joined by calzone-style subs baked in the same oven, Howie Bread, wings, tenders, fresh salads and baked pasta. Desserts run to cookies and brookies. Built for the delivery driver, not the dining room, and honest about it.
