J CRAB HOUSE – Seafood
A small, reservations-only crab house on West Irlo Bronson where the seafood arrives daily off the boats and everything is cooked to order, which is exactly why they cap the room instead of rushing it. Boils are the point: live crawfish and blue crab, snow and dungeness, lobster tails, all tossed in the house J sauce and served with corn and potatoes. Around them sit whole fried snapper, po' boys, raw and fried oysters, and a Filipino accent running through the cooking. Finish with mango or coconut ice cream. Book ahead.
