Cape Coral's Keke's keeps to the chain's single shift, seven to 2:30, and builds its reputation on the first meal of the day. Pancakes arrive in buttermilk, blueberry and a Florida version; French toast comes stuffed with raspberry, blueberry or Nutella; omelets run Greek, Western and cheese steak. There are grits done classic or loaded, home fries the same way, and lunch handhelds -- tuna melt, buffalo chicken wrap, bacon cheeseburger -- for the later stretch. Reviewers return to the same two points: generous plates, unfussy friendly service. Breakfast done properly, then the lights go off.
