כנאפה ביפו Hasan Basha – bakery

Knafeh in Jaffa, and very little else. Hasan Basha is a dessert counter on Beit Eshel Street built around Hassan, a young pastry cook who took up knafeh after a trip to Istanbul and turned it into the house specialty; the place opened at the start of 2020. The list is short and sweet in the literal sense: knafeh in several forms, baklava, a rotating handful of specials, other Arab-kitchen desserts and drinks to go with them. It runs late, most nights until midnight. Come hungry, come after dinner.
