LA BAMBA III – Restaurant
The North Federal Highway link in a small South Florida family chain that has been feeding Oakland Park, Wilton Manors and Pompano for years. The kitchen straddles Mexican and Spanish-Caribbean: enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas and carne asada on one side, ropa vieja and tostones on the other, everything cooked to order rather than held. It is a loud, casual, come-as-you-are room, and the portions match. Diners keep returning for the value and the consistency. No pretense, plenty of plate.
