Thick, sweet, dusted with cinnamon, and poured every day of the week at this plain Salvadoran room in Miami, where columns break up the space and a good deal of the action happens at the bar. Around it sits the rest of the repertoire: pupusas revueltas off the griddle, enchiladas de carne built on crisp tostadas with steak and cabbage, tamal de elote with real corn sweetness. It is a working neighbourhood kitchen, not a showpiece. Come for the corn drink, stay for the pupusas.
