On South University Drive, Luka runs from early-morning coffee to a late Friday dinner without ever changing gear. The kitchen is Latin American and unapologetically generous: an arepa filled with grilled steak, green cabbage, paisa cheese and pico with a fresh garlic sauce; bowls built paisa, pabellón or carne asada; lomo saltado; birria tacos with the dip. Mornings bring two eggs cooked to order alongside plantains and black beans. The coffee is 100% Colombian and treated seriously. What people say, over and over, is that the plates are big and the room is easy. A neighbourhood all-day spot with a family kitchen behind it.
