Maple Street Biscuit Company started in Jacksonville in 2012 on a simple bet: scratch biscuits, made to order, served only until the early afternoon. The board is still built around them - the Squawking Goat and the Sticky Maple, the Five & Dime and the Farmer - alongside chicken and waffles, grits and hash bowls, and bonuts, loaded tots or fried green tomatoes on the side. Coffee runs from daily brew to a maple vanilla latte. Guests keep mentioning warm, light biscuits and counter staff who take your name and use it. The hometown store, still doing what it started.
