Mike's Place – bar

Ninety metres of Herbert Samuel promenade, a stage in the corner and the Mediterranean going pink outside the window - Mike's Place has been Tel Aviv's English-speaking living room since 1992. The kitchen grinds and hand-forms its burgers daily from Argentinian ribeye cap, and sends out cheese nachos, BBQ and hot buffalo wings, shrimp tacos, creamy mac n' cheese and a Buffalo pizza under blue cheese dressing. Live bands most nights, sport on the screens, happy hour from five. Regulars come for the room as much as the plate: loud, friendly, unpretentious. An island of American comfort with a sea view.
