Dede is a Florentin neighbourhood bar and cafe on Uriel Acosta, and it describes itself less by its food than by its living room: deep sofas, a guitar left out for whoever wants it, birthdays encouraged. The cooking is simple and fresh, with a long vegan column running beside it. Mornings bring two eggs with cut vegetables, tahini and sweet challah, or a tofu scramble with pesto and vegan cheese. Later come Neapolitan pizzas from a stone oven, arayes stuffed into mini pitas, courgette off the plancha with tahini and feta, kebabs, burgers. The flagship drink presses apples with arak.
