Momiji works both sides of the kitchen: handcrafted nigiri and sashimi, rolls that run from a straight California to the house's own signature builds, hibachi plates that arrive with clear soup, salad, stir-fried vegetables and a choice of fried rice or lo mein, and bowls of ramen for the cooler months. Open late into the evening every night, later still on Fridays and Saturdays. Regulars keep coming for the sashimi and the ramen broth. Unshowy, consistent, well run.
