Past a zen garden and a set of heavy doors, Oza works the izakaya template properly: charcoal robata at the centre, small plates built to keep pace with drinking. Skewers come cheap and precise, chicken oyster with shiso, wing with miso jerk butter, a tsukune trio finished three ways, while the cold side runs to uni toast with toro tartare and Hokkaido uni, yuzu hamachi and a bluefin akami don.
