פיצה אל פונטה – pizza_restaurant

Right on Safed's pedestrian mall, Al Ponte bakes Neapolitan-style pizza in a taboun oven and keeps roughly twenty seats going inside and out. The pies come with a mozzarella-and-yellow-cheese mix - a plain margherita, a gratineed version, the tricolour Bandiera d'Italia - and there are taboun-baked pastries, fresh salads and crisp chips to fill the table. Mehadrin kosher, with delivery out to the guesthouses and zimmers nearby. A short walk from the galleries, and the obvious stop after a day in the old city.
