Taco Express opened its Summerland Key location on Overseas Highway in September 2025, a Mexican-American room with island beach energy and all-day breakfast - doors open at six in the morning on weekdays. Birria and suadero tacos are what it is known for, with al pastor tacos, quesadillas, burritos and mix platters filling the board. Seating is about ten indoor benches plus outdoor picnic tables, so it is a quick-lunch and casual-dinner proposition rather than a night out. On a stretch of the Lower Keys short on options, it lands hard.
