VINO BISTRO – Restaurant

Saturday night on 5th Street, live music starting around seven, the outdoor tables filling first. Vino Bistro trades in small plates built to keep a glass company: Spanish garlic shrimp, bruschetta on properly toasted bread, pan-seared lamb lollipops, warm roasted olives, a smoked salmon stack, boards of prosciutto and goat cheese. The wine list runs long by the glass without running expensive. Guests keep mentioning the owner - the greeting at the door, the dessert that turns up unordered. Upstairs there is a remodelled room for small groups. A neighbourhood place with good taste in music.
