WALDO'S – Restaurant

Right on the sand at Vero Beach, Waldo's is an open-air oceanfront room where the ceiling fans turn, a band sets up, and nobody minds sandy feet. The menu leans coastal and casual: grilled mahi, peel-and-eat shrimp, Southern-style fish tacos, New England fish and chips, fried green tomatoes, the Driftwood shrimp and scallop scampi, and the wings the kitchen puts its own name on. Diners come back for the view and the live music as much as the food, and for servers they recognise year after year. Beachfront, unfussy, loud in the best way.
