YASHI SUSHI – Restaurant
A low-key Japanese room off West Deer Lake Drive where the all-you-can-eat menu is the draw and the fish still shows up cut with care. Rolls do the heavy lifting: the Crazy Roll, the Superman, the Miyazaki with smoked salmon, krab and cream cheese under eel sauce, plus the dynamite roll and a California with salmon or scallops. Lunch runs to bento boxes with teriyaki chicken and fried rice, and there is hibachi, lo mein and veggie tempura behind it. Diners keep noting how much better the quality is than the format usually promises. Order the fried ice cream.
