ABU OMAR HALAL – Restaurant

Abu Omar Halal began as a Houston food truck and grew into a multi-state operation; the 56th Street shop in Temple Terrace was the brand's first bricks-and-mortar restaurant in Florida. The formula is halal street food built for speed: chicken and beef shawarma wraps panini-pressed with pickles and garlic sauce, lamb gyro, falafel, the chicken-tender zinger. Order Arabi style and it comes cut into finger bites with seasoned fries and pickled vegetables; go bigger with loaded fries, shawarma quesadillas or the Italian shawarma meal sliced like a pizza. Rice and salad bowls too. Open until eleven nightly, later at weekends.
