Angelo's Pizza Restaurant has been on Sheridan Street since 1999, run on recipes carried down from a father's pizzeria on Pitkin Avenue in East New York. The pies come thin and crisp, from plain cheese and margherita to Sicilian squares and a loaded supreme, and the kitchen keeps going with pasta, chicken, veal and seafood plates. Garlic rolls arrive hot and heavily garlicked, and they are the thing people order twice. Finish with cannoli or zeppoli. It is a plain, family-oriented dining room with prices that stay honest.
