Family owned since 1989, Antonio's occupies two floors on South Orlando Avenue: an upstairs dining room with a bar and lounge, and a downstairs market and cafe built around a wood-fired oven. Upstairs the cooking is Northern and coastal Italian with ambition, from buffalo caprese and oysters Rockefeller under spinach fontina to calabrian vodka bolognese, linguine with clams, veal marsala, Barolo braised short rib over mascarpone polenta, Chilean sea bass with asparagus risotto, and a zuppa de pesce built on lobster and calamari. Happy hour runs open to close in the bar. Downstairs, shop the shelves and eat wood-fired pizza.
