Freeport's bakery counter opens at six on Highway 20, and Tabitha Inabnet's stuffed cookies are the draw: six to eight ounces each, loaded with peanut butter and Reese's, marshmallow and graham cracker, or an Oreo hidden inside bright blue dough. Beyond the case there is proper breakfast and lunch service. Chicken salad comes five ways, on crackers or a croissant; an Italian picnic press stacks soppressata and capocollo on ciabatta; turkey pesto, harvest cobb and mango chicken salads follow.
