Bleecker Street Pizza – pizza_restaurant

A corner counter on Seventh Avenue South, a block from the street it takes its name from, slinging slices since 2004 and staying open until five in the morning on weekends. The Nonna Maria is the one people queue for: a thin, crisp slice built from an old family recipe with fresh mozzarella, house marinara, parmesan and basil torn over the top. Beyond it sit a thick grandma pie, cheese, pepperoni and white. Food Network named it best pizza in New York three years running. Late-night crowds, tourists and neighbourhood regulars all end up at the same window. No frills.
