Joe's Pizza – pizza_restaurant

The Williamsburg outpost of the slice shop Joe Pozzuoli started in Greenwich Village in 1975, sitting on Bedford Avenue where the foot traffic never really stops. The offer has not changed in fifty years: a plain cheese slice, thin and pliable, reheated to order and handed over on a paper plate. There are toppings if you want them; most people don't bother. Locals and visitors form the same line, which is roughly the point. A New York institution that never got clever about it.
