Csészényi Café and Coffee Bean Roaster – cafe

A Buda cafe on Krisztina körút that roasts its own beans on the premises, with a coffee of the month rotating through single-origin lots. The espresso list runs long: ristretto, macchiato, melange, caramel macchiato, Cubaito, Irish coffee. The hot chocolate list runs longer still, from chilli to cinnamon to hazelnut. Food is proper cafe cooking, built on ciabatta: goat cheese, ham, mozzarella, a determinedly cheesy one, plus toasted sandwiches and a club. Lemonades come in elderflower, cucumber, strawberry and blackberry. Autumn brings pumpkin and gingerbread lattes and mulled wine. Early weekday opening, later at weekends, and beans to take away.
