DON CAMARON SEAFOOD GRILL & MARKET – Restaurant

Minutes from Miami International on Northwest 37th Avenue, Don Camaron has run a seafood grill and fish market on the same corner for more than twenty-five years. The cooking pulls from Cuba and Peru at once: jalea mixta piled with fried seafood, ceviche, arroz chaufa, lomo saltado, croquetas de pescado, conch and cod fritters, tostones stuffed with shrimp. Whole filets of snapper, grouper, dorado and corvina come off the grill, and paella feeds a table. Little pots of aji amarillo, rocoto and cilantro sauce arrive alongside. Regulars cite the portions and the freshness. Open daily until ten, later at weekends.
