El Dos Ruedas runs a classic Cuban cafeteria in Miami, open early and staying open into the evening six days a week. Prices sit well below what most sit-down Cuban spots charge, with most entrees in the six-to-seven-dollar range and pressed sandwiches closer to three or four dollars. Ropa vieja, the slow-cooked shredded beef in tomato sauce, is the dish regulars point to first, though the menu covers the rest of the standard Cuban repertoire too. The room takes reservations but functions more like a neighborhood counter than a formal dining room, a place locals return to out of habit.
