Joe's Pizza – Italian

A slice shop on Allenby Street that plays the New York game straight: thin, foldable, sold by the wedge, eaten standing up. Round pies and square Sicilian-style trays come out through the day, with the usual run of toppings and a short list of beers to go with them. It has become one of the reliable late stops on that stretch of Tel Aviv, and local food writers have taken it seriously enough to review it as street food rather than as a novelty. Nothing fussy here — just a good slice, at the right hour.
