KOS – Restaurant

KOS takes its name from a Norwegian word for coziness, and the Maitland shop leans into it — a small cafe and micro roastery on South Orlando Avenue, open eight to four, with the roaster running in the back. Coffee is the point: light-roast single origins from Guatemala, Colombia, Ethiopia, Mexico and El Salvador, poured by people who also train baristas and service machines. Teas and a short food menu fill out the counter, and the breakfast sandwich has its regulars. The sourcing ethic is stated plainly — farmers paid above fair-trade rates. Good coffee, made deliberately.
