LA MESA DORAL – Restaurant

The original La Mesa, on NW 12th Street in Doral, is a Latin restaurant that behaves like a cocktail bar after dark - live entertainment, a busy bar, a room that gets loud on purpose. The kitchen works a pan-Latin menu: a trio of empanadas to share, ceviche tropical brightened with citrus, calamares rebozados, coctel de camarones, tostones, grilled fish fillets and paella for the table. Regulars come for the drinks and the noise as much as the food, and the ceviche and tostones are what most people order twice. Latin-inspired, weekend-shaped.
