It is a Cuban counter run like a family kitchen: empanadas that regulars order by the bagful, chicharos - split pea soup, thick and slow-cooked - served over white rice, and a rotating board of homestyle plates. Prices stay low and the room stays calm even at the breakfast rush. Closed Sundays. If you want the empanadas, come before the trucks do.
