Two kitchens in Lake Alfred, one family, and a menu that splits its attention evenly between the comal and the seafood counter. Beef birria tacos with cheese, onion and cilantro are what most people order first; after that it is street tacos, flautas, chimichangas and whatever the daily special happens to be. Ceviche and mariscos hold up their end. Tamales are made fresh for Saturdays, and pre-orders are the only reliable way to get them. Diners keep coming back for the portions and the prices. Unpretentious, and consistently good.
