Matteo's sits on South Federal Highway in Boca Raton, doing old-school Italian-American at full volume. The kitchen sends out chicken parmigiana by the full order, linguine with white clam sauce, shrimp oreganata, chicken Francese, stuffed artichoke, short rib tortellini, lobster ravioli and a bone-in veal chop, with portions built for sharing. Diners come back for the eggplant parmigiana and the fried zucchini, and for service that holds together on a packed night. Live music later in the week, valet out front, tables indoors and out.
