A Maze Street fixture off Rothschild, Miznon Shiraz has been run by the same family since the early 1980s and still cooks like a home kitchen that happens to have a counter. Breakfast leans on shakshuka and generously loaded vegetable omelettes; lunch brings soups, a patty that changes with the day, slow-cooked stews and a build-your-own salad bar, with vegan plates given real thought rather than an afterthought. It is kosher under the Tel Aviv rabbinate. Regulars talk about the freshness and the fair prices more than anything else. Unfussy, consistent, and a fixed habit for its block.
