On Kikar HaMedina, in one of the busiest corners of Tel Aviv, Nuchi is a kosher Asian bar-bistro under Tel Aviv rabbinate supervision. It grew out of Negisa, which stood on the same spot for two years under the same owners, and the rebuild sharpened everything. Sushi is the specialism and the reason most tables book, but the menu ranges across Far Eastern flavours, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes written in rather than bolted on. There is a catering arm too, for anything from ten people to three hundred. Precision is the house style, and it shows.
