Cafe De'az sits at HaCarmel 55 in Binyamina, in the visitor-centre complex beside Beit Yami, and it opens early enough to catch people on their way to work. The kitchen builds around croissandwiches and rustic-bread sandwiches: smoked salmon with red onion and radish, caprese, beetroot with goat cheese and honey, burnt eggplant with roasted pepper and pesto, bosha cheese with sweet potato, almonds and dates. Salads run from a plain cut-vegetable bowl to chickpea and mozzarella versions. There are borekas, pizzas, cheese platters, gluten-free pastries and ice cream too. Kosher, under Tzohar supervision.
