Cafe Alma's Rishon LeZion branch occupies a historic building in the heart of Gan HaMoshava, the one where Carmel Winery's workers once cooked and ate — and the nostalgia runs through the food as much as the walls. Coffee, pastries and sandwiches are made fresh each morning; you can take a sandwich or salad into the flowering garden for a picnic, or stay for the breakfast trays, salads and hot dishes from the kitchen. There is a children's menu, and by evening the wine, cocktails and desserts come out. Neighbourhood warmth in a landmark shell.
