SCHMIDO - Mezzerie Libanaise – lebanese_restaurant

Schmido grew out of Cafe Schmiede in Zurich Wiedikon - Schmiede plus Mido, the owner Mido Nasser, who reopened it in 2020 to cook the food of the Levant. It runs as a Lebanese restaurant and cafe from seven in the morning until ten at night on Zurlindenstrasse, and the mezze is the point: hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, shawarma, with gluten-free and vegetarian options threaded through the list rather than tacked on. Guests describe homemade cooking and warm service at a price that stays sensible for the city. A neighbourhood room built on one person's idea of home.
