A kosher meat kitchen on Koplowitz Street in Or Akiva that has stayed resolutely homestyle. Around fifty seats, an unhurried room, and a menu of shawarma, schnitzel, hamburgers and meatballs, cutlets and slow hot stews, served with the kind of portions that assume you skipped breakfast. The week has its own rhythm: Moroccan couscous on Tuesdays, schnitzel in challah on Thursdays. Delivery and pickup carry a good share of it, and small family events take the room. What people say, again and again, is that it tastes like someone's mother cooked it. That is exactly the point.
