Atmosfera occupies the roof of the Star Center in Ashdod, with an Olympic pool glinting at the entrance and a terrace that makes the case on its own. Chef Yaron Ben-Chamo runs a kosher meat kitchen built on premium cuts treated simply, backed by a wide appetiser range, a cocktail bar and a serious wine list. The room is warm rather than austere — butcher-block tables, an unstuffy welcome — and scales up to several hundred for events without losing the restaurant underneath. Ashdod's big-occasion address, and it knows it.
