פבלה pavella – restaurant

Pavella faces the water on Martin Buber Boulevard, on the Ashdod promenade near the port, and it changes character as the day goes on. Lunchtime it is a Mediterranean restaurant; by evening the Balkan, Portuguese and Latin records come up and it becomes a bar with food. The room is styled after the streets of the sixties and seventies. The menu runs to cauliflower with tahini, roasted eggplant, vegetable salad with feta, salmon ceviche, pastas, a hamburger, oven-roasted salmon and entrecote, with draft beers and a cocktail list that takes risks. Open seven days, Saturdays included.
