TOKYO SUSHI BAR – Restaurant

A small, unfussy sushi bar on East Fowler Avenue that has quietly fed the same families for years. The crab rangoon roll and the house eel sauce are the calling cards; the Temple Terrace roll, volcano roll, tuna tataki, salmon sashimi and shrimp fried rice make up the regulars' rotation, and there is still a hijiki roll for anyone who knows to ask. Fried banana with ice cream closes it out. Diners describe a calm, homey room, owners who genuinely look after guests, and prices that undercut the quality. Comfort food, done properly.
