ABC PIZZA – Restaurant

A Tampa Bay pizzeria name with a Greek pedigree: the Fotopoulos brothers arrived from Greece in 1950, opened their first shop in Connecticut in 1966, and expanded into central Florida in 1974. Roughly a dozen locations carry the name, several still family-run. Order the thin-crust pies - seafood with crabmeat and shrimp, Mexican with chorizo, black beans and cilantro - or a Greek salad stacked with feta and olives. Grinders come Italian, steak or chicken parmesan; dinners run to seafood alfredo and Greek chicken. Regulars talk about portions and prices that have not drifted. Neighbourhood pizza, done plainly, done well.
