Inside the BIG Fashion centre on Derech Ariel Sharon, Cafe Lyon runs a French-leaning dairy kitchen certified kosher lemehadrin, carrying on from La-Lionese, an Ashdod fixture since 1996. Mornings bring the Lyon breakfast of two eggs with a salad, bread basket and house spreads, eggs benedict on toasted brioche, a soft scramble with avocado and chives, classic shakshuka, polenta under poached eggs, and croissants in butter, chocolate or almond. Salads follow: halloumi, Greek, California salmon and avocado, the house Lyon with teriyaki mushrooms. The patisserie finishes it: mousse cakes, chocolate souffle, pecan pie, creme brulee. Open late nightly, Shabbat excepted.
