A South MacDill Avenue ristorante and bar where the kitchen leans hard on Italian classics done properly. Antipasti split hot and cold: calamari Luciana in a delicate seafood sauce, melanzane rollatine baked with ricotta and goat cheese, portobello al balsamico, insalata di mare with lump blue crab, salmone affumicato. The pasta is homemade, from lasagna della nonna and agnolotti alla crema to tortellini boscaiola and capelli d'angelo al granchio. Secondi run vitello saltimbocca, pollo Colombo in brandy cream, dentice livornese, branzino Tirreno and ossobuco alla Milanese. Private dining and catering run alongside. Tampa Italian, cooked the long way, without shortcuts.
