COLONY WEST GOLF CLUB – Restaurant

The View sits above two golf courses in Tamarac, open to anyone, golfer or not, from ten in the morning until nine at night. Breakfast runs to avocado toast, burritos and omelettes; midday brings a Colony Cobb, arugula and goat cheese salad, panko shrimp bowl, French dip, Reuben, short rib grilled cheese and a smash burger. After three the entrees arrive: fourteen-ounce ribeye, filet mignon, yellowtail snapper, blackened salmon, braised short rib, baby back ribs. Wings and a giant Bavarian pretzel hold the bar. Desserts run to key lime pie and a fried Oreo sundae. Easy, unstuffy, and genuinely public.
