Daily Provisions - West Village – restaurant
On the corner of Bedford and Downing Streets sits the West Village branch of the fine-casual counter that grew out of Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe. It works as a coffee shop and as a real kitchen at once: Joe Coffee drip and lattes beside cinnamon and maple crullers, everything croissants rolled in bagel spice and filled with cream cheese, and the signature jammy eggs. Sandwiches include a tuna melt on griddled sourdough, grilled cheese with cheddar and smoky gouda, and a focaccia BLT. Whole and half roast Amish chicken anchor dinner, with crispy potatoes. Open daily, seven until nine.
